At the time of publication it is unclear how this variant of SynAck is delivered, although it has previously been distributed via phishing campaigns.
Once installed on an infected device, SynAck will attempt to terminate any processes that match a hard-coded list, presumably in order to allow itself access to any files used by these processes. It will then encrypt all non-system files using a hybrid ECIES scheme.
