Windows 10 end of support October 2025

From October 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide updates, including security patches, for Windows 10 systems.

To ensure the continued security and efficiency of NHS digital systems, as well as protect patient data, all NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) must transition to Windows 11.

Windows 11 offers improved performance, enhanced security features, and a more modern, user-friendly interface. It includes advanced protection against cyber threats with built-in features, helping to keep data and systems safe.

Windows 11 also supports better productivity with new tools for multitasking, and is designed to run efficiently on newer hardware, ensuring long-term support and reliability.
