Sexual and Reproductive Health Activity Dataset 2020

Data Provision Notice to require the submission of sexual and reproductive health activity data to provide insight into the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on services. 

 

Overview

A one-off data collection of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Activity Dataset (SRHAD), for the period 1 April 2020 – 30 September 2020, to provide timely insight into the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the provision of sexual and reproductive health services during the first six months of 2020-21. This dataset will provide a picture of the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on contraception provision.

The aggregated data will be published on the NHS Digital website and the record level dataset will be disseminated to Public Health England (PHE).

The data will be used by PHE to ensure that appropriate and targeted actions are put in place to maximise recovery of sexual and reproductive health services in England.


Scope of the collection

Providers of Sexual and Reproductive Health Services funded by local authorities.


Legal basis for provision of data

NHS Digital has been directed by the Secretary of State under section 254 of the Act to establish and operate a system for the collection and analysis of the information specified for this service. 


Collection

This is a one-off collection of data relating to the period 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2020.
