We’re delighted to announce that NDRS has won ‘Healthcare Organisation of the Year’ at the British Data Awards 2026.
A record 462 entries were submitted for the sixth edition of the British Data Awards, so competition to be named a Finalist, let alone a Winner was particularly intense. Organisations taking part include FTSE 100 heavyweights, innovative start-ups, public sector pioneers, essential not-for-profits, and everything in between.
This award is a great recognition of the work happening across NDRS and the difference it makes. Our winning entry was focused on our development of the National Inherited Cancer Predisposition Registry (NICPR), the world’s first nationally complete registry linking genomic data to patient care pathways in near real time. By identifying individuals at inherited cancer risk early, NICPR enables timely surveillance and preventive interventions, shifting practice from reactive treatment to proactive prevention across England. The award recognises the skills, expertise, collaboration and commitment within NDRS.
