The number of deaths with a VTE related event mentioned anywhere on a death certificate within 90 days post discharge from hospital, by financial year, for the period 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2022.
This was previously published as part of the NHS Outcomes Framework, indicator 5.1. Following the merger of NHS Digital and NHS England on 1 February 2023 we are reviewing the future presentation of the NHS Outcomes Framework indicators. As part of this review, the annual publication which was due to be released in March 2023 has been delayed. Further announcements about this dataset will be made on the NHS Outcomes Framework publication page in due course.
