Hospital admissions for dog bites and reconstructive surgery

In response to a media request for data relating to dog bites and reconstructive surgery, we have provided:

1. A count of finished admission episodes (FAEs) with an external cause code of bitten or struck by a dog, 2007-08 to 2018-19.
2. A count of finished admission episodes (FAEs )with an external cause code of bitten or struck by a dog, with a main or secondary operative procedure for repair/closure of skin and reconstruction surgery by age group, 2007-08 to 2018-19
