Hospital admissions for cocaine poisoning by ten year age bands, by local authority and number of mental and behavioural disorders due to cocaine use and rates of admission.

In response to your request for information about cocaine hospital admissions.

We have provided:

  • count of Finished Admission Episodes (FAEs) with a primary or secondary diagnosis of cocaine poisoning, by ten-year age bands, for the years 2007-08 to 2018-19. 
  • count of FAEs with a primary or secondary diagnosis of cocaine poisoning and rates of admission per 100,000 population, by Local Authority, for the years 2014-15 to 2018-19.
  • count of FAEs with a primary or secondary diagnosis of mental and behavioural disorders due to cocaine use and rates of admission per 100,000 population, by local authority, for the years 2014-15 to 2018-19. 

These figures are not a count of people as it is possible for an individual to be have more than one episode of care in any given time period.

Please note table 1 may include residences outside of England therefore will not match England totals for tables 2 and 3.
