Solution Assurance can design, manage and provide testing on behalf of health and care customers who are both outside of NHS Digital and developing software that will connect to NHS national services.
We provide solutions and advice for testing, insuring that any testing services aligns to the needs of the organisation, which is then responsible for assuring their finished product.
Our test specialists can provide static testing, produce test plans and test scripts, and carry out the tests for our customers, using a variety of different development methodologies.
We prioritise tests based on risk, system complexity, infrastructure and expected volume of use.
We can provide guidance on defects we discover and how to fix them. We can also explain how a system will work when it is live. As with NHS Digital customers, we provide a test and assurance statement to external healthcare customers to help in the governance of their assurance process.
We test systems for both national and local use, including:
- clinical systems
- solutions which use interoperability messaging standards including Interoperability Toolkit (ITK) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
- dataset and data collections systems
