Professional Records Standards Body (PRSB) launch new health and social care surveys

The Friends of the Elderly charity was awarded a Social Care Digital Pathfinders grant which promotes wide scale adoption of digital solutions. To achieve the roll-out of the cutting-edge technology, Friends of the Elderly has been working with care planning software provider KareInn; and Ally, who provide wireless acoustic monitoring systems which deploy artificial intelligence. The project has been running for six months, with early signs of improved health outcomes for residents.

There's a vital need for digital medicines support to improve the health and wellbeing of people cared for in their own homes. A publication of the specification marks the culmination of a Social Care Digital Innovation Programme Accelerator match-funded by NHS Digital and managed by the Local Government Association.

A new project, launched today by the National Care Forum with funding from NHS Digital’s Digital Pathfinders Programme, will help care providers to understand the benefits of technology, how to build a business case for investment, and how to successfully introduce, use and evaluate technology.

The LGA in collaboration with NHS Digital is grant funding digital innovation in social care. Twelve councils were selected for the third wave of funding, with six progressing to implementation. 

NHS Digital’s Social Care Programme has appointed the Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) to support the Social Care Digital Pathfinder projects in the development of social care information standards.
