Digital will be making an update to Card Management Services (CMS) within theCare Identity Service (CIS) application, to enable users to self-renew their Oberthur (Series 8) Smartcards. Self-renew is already available for users of Gemalto Smartcards – the CMS 2.2 release will make it available for all smartcards.
The release is scheduled for go live on 14th December 2017
The attached Registration Authority (RA) and Smartcard User Guidance has been issued to support the implementation of CMS 2.2.
IA compatibility hotfix to be implemented to CMS – 04/01/2018
Following the release of CMS 2.2 in December 2017, users may have experienced an issue performing Series 8 self-renewal and received the following error message: The installed Identity Agent is not compatible.
Note - this fault was more prevalent if users have installed Microsoft Office 2010.
This issue has now been resolved. Hotfix will go live 04/01/2018.
