10 April 2019 - NHS Digital will be making an update to Card Management Services (CMS) within the Care Identity Service (CIS) application, to speed up most Series 8 Smartcard CMS operations via Oberthur Middleware 'SR8', and effectively block Oberthur Middlewares 'SR1' and 'SR5' from being able to perform most CMS operations.
