Changes to ODS regions, April 2019

On the 1 April 2019, there will be a number of changes to the regional arrangement of some NHS bodies within the Organisation Data Service.

This will help improve working on the front line, and make sure it aligns with commissioning structures.

Release information

Due to the complexities of applying the changes to support the 2019 reconfiguration activities, we will not create a release on Thursday 4 April.

The release dated Thursday 11 April will be the first release to reflect the changes, including newly formed NHS England Regions and CCGs.

Changes on 1 April 2019

  • the North of England region will be split into two new regions - North West, and North East & Yorkshire
  • the Midlands and East region will be split into two new regions - Midlands, and East of England
