Get text messages from the NHS about coronavirus (COVID-19)

Anyone can use the NHS 111 online coronavirus assessment, and if they have signs of coronavirus, they can sign up to receive text messages from the NHS during their isolation.

People who use the NHS 111 online coronavirus assessment will have an option to sign up to receive texts from the NHS.  If the person has symptoms, and are self-isolating, they can receive texts asking questions about how they are feeling.  The texts may also include links to surveys and other services when they are available.

How this works

When using the NHS 111 online coronavirus assessment, if you have symptoms then you can choose to receive text messages.

We, or our partner organisations, will send you texts that:

  • ask questions such as how you are feeling
  • provide information about services
  • invite you to take part in surveys and other initiatives related to coronavirus
  • suggest apps and websites which may be of interest to you

Your information will also be used by NHS Digital and other organisations for coronavirus research and planning.
