Access Record: Structured (Medications and Allergies) has Full Roll-out Approval for the EMIS Web - update your system now

18 November 2021 - Following an extended pilot phase of Access Record: Structured (Medications and Allergies), we’re delighted to announce Full Roll-out Approval for the EMIS Web clinical system.

Key points

EMIS join TPP in being granted full rollout approval for Access Record: Structured (Medications and Allergies).

EMIS Web sites need to enable the Access Record: Structured product in their local clinical system configuration. There is no action for SystmOne users.

No additional data sharing activities are required, as Access Record: Structured is covered under the Health Service (Control of Patient Information) Regulations 2002 (COPI)

Access Record: Structured allows access to a patient’s record in a machine-readable, structured, and coded format. Structured data allows the consuming system to import and process patient data for direct care use, and where the system meets the specified GP Connect consumer requirements, including information governance and clinical safety standards.

Following an extended pilot phase of Access Record: Structured (Medications and Allergies), we’re delighted to announce Full Roll-out Approval for the EMIS Web clinical system.

EMIS Web users should follow these instructions to enable Access Record: Structured (Requires EMIS Now Access).

Other sections of the patient record will become available to share via Access Record: Structured over the coming months.
