Access Record HTML 0.7.2 upgrade

Following user feedback from those using the Access Record: HTML product, changes will be made to the layout and content of the HTML views for medications, problems and issues & summary views.

This page gives notice that GP systems providers will shortly commence upgrading their Access Record HTML API to version 0.7.2. You should be aware of the pending changes to support your end users.

Access Record HTML version 0.7.2 is designed to be compatible with consumer systems developed to version 0.5.2, so a code change should not be required to receive this version. It includes changes which alter the layout and content of some of the HTML views. We expect that there will be a mix of versions in production as providers upgrade over time, so users may see the same view in different layouts when accessing different patient records according to the version of the source system.

Version 0.7.2 also includes some changes to enable you to apply some additional styling.

You are expected to inform your user base of the changes as appropriate to your implementation and use of GP Connect Access Record HTML.

The most significant changes to the views affect the Medications, Problems and Issues and Summary views.

Medications view changes

The Medications view has significant changes:

  • current Medication Issues has been replaced with Acute Medication (Last 12 Months)
  • current Repeat Medication has changes to the columns and column order
  • a subsection for Discontinued Repeat Medication has been added
  • past Medication has been replaced with two subsections for All Medication and All Medication Issues
  • medication prescribed elsewhere is now required (provided it is recorded in the registered GP patient record)
  • controlled drugs must be identified by a ‘Controlled drugs’ label

Problems and Issues view changes

Within the Problems and Issues view, the ‘Inactive Problems and Issues’ subsection has been replaced by two subsections for ‘Major Inactive Problems and Issues’ and ‘Other Inactive Problems and Issues’, but view content is otherwise unchanged.

Summary view changes

The summary view includes some of the changes above along with section order changes:

  • current Medication Issues has been replaced with Acute Medication (Last 12 Months)
  • current Repeat Medication has changes to the columns and column order
  • major Inactive Problems and Issues has been added beneath the Active Problems and Issues section
  • last 3 Encounter is now the first section - it was the last section in version 0.5.2
  • current Allergies and Adverse Reactions has been moved to be above the medication sections

Additional changes

There are also several additional, minor changes in version 0.7.2 which can be seen in the release notes to version 0.7.0, 0.7.1 and 0.7.2.

Please review the full details of all these changes in the GP Connect API version 0.7.2 specification.
