GP, partnership, patient and payment details are extracted from the National Health Applications and Infrastructure Services (NHAIS) systems. NHAIS systems are run by service agencies throughout England, Wales and Isle of Man.
The extract is initiated at the close of each quarter and transferred internally to NHS Digital, where an annual extract is undertaken at the end of September each year.
National Health Application and Infrastructure Services (NHAIS) is a suite of software implemented across primary care which manages services, patient registration and demographic details for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
