Keep up-to-date with the news and events from the NHS Emergency Department Digital Integration (EDDI) team. 

EDDI will be decommissioned

Emergency Department Digital Integration Service (EDDI) will be maintained until 30 June 2024. Due to the deprecated nature of the product, this is the final extension. The product will be decommissioned at this point.

Suppliers operating in this space will need to develop against the NHS Booking and Referral Standard.

Check the progress of your supplier.

EDDI functional change - update

Please note there has been a change to the service capacity functionality.

When setting up a service, users must enter the maximum capacity for each hour time period, for every day of the week. 

The option to copy the maximum capacity from one day to all the other days of the week is not available, as shown in the picture below:

EDDI support sessions

The EDDI team are running a series of drop-in sessions to support any issues during go-live. 

Please contact your NHS Digital Implementation and Business Change team to join a session.

EDDI release 2 training webinars

To support EDDI release 2, the EDDI training team are delivering webinars for Emergency Department service managers. These sessions will support managers and show them how to manage capacity and services in EDDI.

EDDI clinical safety case signed off

To comply with DCB0129 clinical safety processes, the EDDI clinical safety case and hazard log has been developed. 

As part of our internal assurance and governance, this has been approved by the NHS Digital Clinical Safety Group. 

The clinical lead for EDDI will continue to assess the onwards development and roll-out of EDDI to ensure that any potential clinical hazards are identified, mitigated and recorded.
