We're providing three identical training sessions on the above dates. Each session will include approximately 90 minutes of training with 30 minutes allocated to setting up and time for questions.

The sessions are aimed at learners who:

  • are experienced trainer/facilitators, who will be delivering training on NHS e-Referral Service to service definer end users within referring organisations
  • will be using the service definer role themselves

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • appreciate the variety of service types and know how to use them to support different referral pathways, including directly bookable services, clinical assessment service (CAS) and referral assessment service (RAS)
  • know how to create services on the Directory of Services, including directly and indirectly bookable services
  • be able to understand and implement the Workgroups functionality to give end users access to referrals
  • manage services and understanding the implications of any changes
  • use the Directory of Services research facility
  • use the in-system enquiries to understand activity and how it can support clinic forward planning
  • know, and direct others to, where NHS e-Referral Service information, training materials/aids, guidance, documentation and support can be found, to facilitate local needs and national goals
