NHS Digital confirms national services unaffected by cyber attack on NHS

16 May 2017: None of the national services provided by NHS Digital to England's health and care system have been infected by Friday's cyber attack.

Our Data Security Centre has continued to work round the clock to support NHS organisations who were affected.

Guidance on NHSmail and on reconnecting to the national network for organisations who disconnected as a preventative measure has been made available:

NHS mail: confirmation it is safe to connect

Technical guidance on reconnecting to networks following precautionary disconnection

Any issues at local NHS organisations regarding connectivity to NHS Digital's Personal Demographics Service (PDS), Message Exchange for Social care and Health (MESH), Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) or NHS e-referrals service (ERS), should be logged as an incident through the usual local support channels.

If you're an IT manager and you believe your organisation has been affected by Friday's cyber-attack and require support or further information, please contact NHS Digital on [email protected] or by calling 03003035222 (please note this is a new number, in use from 6 July 2017).
