Further to our recent communications the changes to GP practice membership was due to be published on the 30th March. However, in order to allow the parent join date field to be correctly aligned with a date of the 1st April we have had to defer publishing the practice parent changes until post 1st April.
These changes will therefore be included in the next set of weekly files published on the 6th April. With the exception of the GP Practice change to NHS Bradford city CCG (02W) which will be in the weekly file on the 20th April and the ODS May publication on 26th May 2017.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
The following organisation has changed its operating name; the legal name of the organisation remains the same.

All of the above changes to the data will be published in the ODS April production files due for release on the 28th April 2017.

On 1 January 2017 Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (RXV) acquired Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust (TAE). The newly enlarged organisation will be known as Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and will have the legal status of Foundation Trust, as authorised by NHS Improvement.
The existing organisation code of RXV will be retained to identify the organisation. Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust has been dissolved under section 56a of the Health and Social Care Act. This has been enacted by NHS Improvement approving the Grant of Acquisition and therefore no separate dissolution order will be published and a legal close date of 31 December 2016 has been applied to TAE. These changes will be reflected in the ODS publication files due for release on 27 January 2017.
Changes to SIROs and IAOs
In July 2016, Dame Fiona Caldicott published a report containing recommendations to strengthen the security of health and care information. Within this report she recommended that the leadership of every organisation should demonstrate clear ownership and responsibility for data security.
Following the publication of Fiona's report, NHS Digital has reviewed some of its processes and NHS Digital, Systems and Service Delivery (SSD) will be changing the authorisation for access to SSD products to Senior Information Risk Owners (SIROs) and nominated Information Asset Owners (IAOs).
