Introduction to the National Care Records Service

Overview

This event will introduce the National Care Records Service (NCRS). NCRS is the new and improved successor to the Summary Care Record application. It gives you access to an ever-increasing number of NHS digital services including over 57 million Summary Care Records with Additional Information, the Personal Demographics Service, Reasonable Adjustments, Child Protection Information Sharing and it points to and retrieves locally held records for example Emergency Care plans and Mental Health Crisis plans via the National Record Locator.

NCRS is available for use in clinical and mobile environments. It has multiple access options including biometric authentication and smartcards and can be used over the internet or via an HSCN connection.
We will present an update on the latest developments in NCRS, provide an overview of the benefits of using NCRS in pharmacy settings, and give a product demonstration. We will also explain how you can start using or migrate to NCRS.

This session is open to all health and care professionals.

This event will provide you with the opportunity to interact with the team’s leading the product development and ask questions.
