NHS Digital has today published the Hospital Outpatient Activity, 2018/19 report.
This report covers outpatient NHS activity and NHS-commissioned activity in the independent sector.
The figures cover the number of outpatient appointments in 2018/19 broken down into those in which patients did and did not attend. This is also split by age and gender.
It is also possible to examine the changes in appointments and attendances over time.
Other data included in the report are:
- First attendances by source of referral
- Figures on the number of cancelled appointments
- Areas of treatment specialities by attendance type
- Main treatment specialities by age and gender
- Interactive provider level analysis
