All users should now have their access to NHSmail restored after problems with availability today, caused by a software issue in the supplier’s internal infrastructure.
We will continue to monitor the service carefully over the next 24 hours but if you experience any further issues please report them to your service desk.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and worked to resolve the issue as soon as possible, which was caused by an internal issue with the supplier’s software. Thank you to the teams today who have worked hard to resolve this.
Further update 9pm:
Please note, some users will have had their accounts locked as a result of multiple attempted logins during today’s issues. We are resetting all these accounts now and expect to have them automatically unlocked soon.
If you need more urgent access you can reset your account via the self service portal on the NHSmail site https://portal.nhs.net.
