You are invited to join NHS Digital for a HSCN market engagement webinar.
Delivered in partnership with techUK, the webinar will take place on Tuesday 20 July 2021 from 11:00am to 12:15pm.
What will be discussed?
The Peering Exchange is a central piece of the Health and Social Care Network’s (HSCN’s) underlying infrastructure, which enables network routing between the Consumer Network Service Providers (CNSPs), allowing end customers using different CNSPs to communicate seamlessly over HSCN.
The contract for the current HSCN Peering Exchange is due to expire in January 2023. This project aims to procure a replacement service, with the procurement launching in Autumn 2021, to enable service continuity for the private network elements of HSCN.
What is the purpose of the session?
The webinar will provide an overview of the current service and our proposed future operating model to potential bidders. We will also explain our intended route to market and the delivery model, including the migration of HSCN CNSPs.
We would like as many potential suppliers as possible to join us to provide feedback on our intended approach and learn more about the opportunity in order to judge whether they might participate in the forthcoming tender. In particular we welcome participation from managed service providers who are able to manage the complete cycle of installation, support and management of highly available telecommunications network infrastructure, specifically peering services. Suppliers will be required to provide exemplary support and management thereafter.
The commissioners and delivery team from NHS Digital will be in attendance and we will include time for answering questions.
