Digitisation in Social Care Webinar : Focus on providing greater access to key medical and care information at the point of transfer between care and health settings

You are invited to join NHS Digital for a supplier engagement webinar that specifically focuses on proving greater access to key medical and care information.

The session will explore the work we are undertaking to enable suppliers and care providers to utilise clinical patient data to aid the delivery of front-line care across different healthcare settings.

The event will provide an overview of products currently available for implementation as well as presentations by organisations sharing their experience.

The session will cover:

  • an overview of NHS Digital Products:

 - Direct Care API - also known as GP Connect, that enables authorised staff to have access to GP data for direct patient care, in a standard form across different systems and care settings

 - National Record Locator (NRL)  - enables an authorised clinician, care worker and/or administrator, in any health or care setting, to access a patient’s information to support that patient’s direct care such as e-Redbag, care plans and end of life plans

 - The Data Security and Protection Toolkit - an online self-assessment all organisations that have access to NHS patient data and systems must complete to provide assurance that they are practising good data security and that personal information is handled correctly

  • NHSX Overview of GP Proxy
  • implementing the e-Redbag - NHS South West London CCG
  • a suppliers view by Person Centred Software
  • information on how to get started

Who is the event for?

IT suppliers will be fundamental in the delivery of this programme of work and engagement with the sector is crucial. As such we would like as many system suppliers as possible to join us, specifically those providing care management systems to the Social Care sector as well as GP systems.

Care providers, nursing and care homes, domiciliary care, and clinical and non-clinical staff.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more from the delivery teams from NHSX and NHS Digital.

If you are interested in the event but cannot attend on the day, please get in touch by emailing us at [email protected].
