The Training Quality Improvement (TQI) team provides the following products and services to help training teams deliver high-quality training to health and social care staff.

Education and Training Standards

The NHS Education, Training and Development (ETD) community and the TQI team have jointly developed a set of standards and supporting guidance, tools and templates. These provide support to trainers and training managers in designing, delivering and evaluating their training.

In addition, a self-assessment tool allows training services to evaluate how well they are performing against the Education and Training Standards.

 

Support for training professionals

Resources and guidance are provided to support the professional development of trainers and training managers.

The NHS IT Training Professionals online community is a forum for trainers and training managers to share good practice, ideas, development opportunities, updates and other information with colleagues across health and social care. Free resources and toolkits are available on this forum.

The Education and Training Standards help health and social care training services follow good practice and deliver high quality training. Measure your training service against the Standards using the self-assessment tool in the Standards Toolkit.
