Summary
Rapid Cancer Registration Data (RCRD) provides a quick, indicative source of cancer data. It is provided to support the planning and provision of cancer services.
The data is based on a rapid processing of cancer registration data sources, in particular on Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset (COSD) information. In comparison, National Cancer Registration Data (NCRD) relies on additional data sources, enhanced follow-up with trusts and expert processing by cancer registration officers.
The Rapid Cancer Registration Data (RCRD) may be useful for service improvement projects including healthcare planning and prioritisation. However, it is poorly suited for epidemiological research due to limitations in the data quality and completeness.

Dashboard
RCRD data is released in a dashboard which is updated on a monthly basis. All data in the dashboard is refreshed each time, using the latest data available.
The dashboard publishes monthly data on:
- number of cancer diagnoses,
- early-stage proportion,
- treatment (tumour resection, chemotherapy and radiotherapy) proportions, and
- surgical tumour resection procedures.
It provides data for England, or by cancer alliance or integrated care board (ICB).
Data for England is also provided broken down by demographic groups (gender, age, deprivation, ethnicity, stage, route to diagnosis).

The most recent update, released on 3 July 2025, is based on data available by 7 June 2025.
The next update is planned for 31 July 2025. If, for some reason, it is not possible to release on this date, it will be updated as soon as possible after this.
The most recent release includes updated diagnoses data, up to March 2025.
Compared to the previous release, this release provides additional surgical tumour resection and chemotherapy data,
for surgical tumour resections received up to January 2025 and chemotherapy received up to October 2024.
