Monthly Referral Return

The Monthly Referral Return (MRR) collects data relating to GP and other referrals for first consultant-led outpatient appointments.

Background to the collection

NHS England publishes the results each month. For further information please visit the NHS England website.

Launch and submission dates

This is a monthly collection and will open on the morning of the 1st working day of the month after the data period being collected. The collection usually closes at 11:59pm on the 16th working day of the month.

Registered data submitters of the data collection will receive monthly emails from Strategic Data Collection Service (SDCS) confirming when the reporting window is opening and closing.
