Junior doctors data collection
This data collection intends to assess if junior doctors in training receive notification of: their generic work schedules a minimum of 8 weeks before they start new rotations, and their duty rosters a minimum of 6 weeks before they start new rotations.
The intention behind this collection is to assess whether junior doctors in training receive notification of:
- their generic work schedules a minimum of 8 weeks before they start new rotations, and
- their duty rosters a minimum of 6 weeks before they start new rotations,
as specified in the code of practice agreed by HEE, NHS Employers and the BMA.
Data will be collected at a trust level (and by Lead Employer Trusts (LETs) where appropriate) for the activity for which they are responsible. There will be four collections annually to cover the main rotations in February, April, August and December.
