COVID Oximetry @home clinical codes - SNOMED codes

Find out about the new COVID Oximetry @home SNOMED codes.

Retired service

In July 2022, NHS Digital started a managed closure of the COVID Oximetry @home data services it provides to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs). This was to align with the end of the COVID-19 COPI notices and to reduce data collection burden. The closure is now complete.

A national supply of pulse oximeters remains available by request to support COVID Oximetry @home services.

New SNOMED codes

New SNOMED codes have been created for COVID Oximetry @home providers to use.

NHS Digital encourages the use of data entry templates and SNOMED coding to ensure data is recorded accurately.

GP IT system suppliers have implemented these SNOMED codes for use.

In order to accurately record COVID Oximetry @home data, we strongly encourage the use of the SNOMED codes, this can be made easier by the use of data entry templates. A number of templates have been created by Ardens, TPP, Cegedim and accuRx. Contact your system provider for more information.
