Summary
This statistical release makes available the most recent Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) monthly and quarterly data, including activity, waiting times, and outcomes such as recovery. It also makes available additional experimental statistics about a pilot programme for integrated IAPT services.
IAPT is run by the NHS in England and offers NICE-approved therapies for treating people with depression or anxiety.
The Integrated Data File has now been made available on 3rd October 2017. This includes corrections to the May 2017 data.
Highlights
In June 2017 there were:
- 119,346 new referrals
- 87,019 referrals entered treatment
- 49,147 referrals finished a course of treatment, of which:
- 88.8 per cent waited less than 6 weeks and 99.0 per cent waited less than 18 weeks to enter treatment
- 45,847 started treatment at caseness, with 50.9 per cent moving to recovery
