Summary

31 October 2017 - Data for the Shingles (catch up) and Shingles (routine aged 70) vaccination programmes 2016-17 have been added to this release.

GP Contract Services form part of the General Medical Services (GMS) contract, which covers the delivery of primary care services across England, agreed between NHS England and the British Medical Association's (BMA) General Practitioners Committee (GPC). These data are primarily used for payment and management information purposes as well as for wider usage to help support commissioning, planning and policy decisions.

This release contains data for the following services:

Alcohol-related risk reduction scheme
Avoiding unplanned admissions
Childhood seasonal influenza vaccination programme
Hepatitis B (newborn babies) vaccination programme
HPV booster vaccination programme
Indicators no longer in QOF (INLIQ)
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccination programme
Meningococcal ACWY (MenACWY) vaccination programme
Meningococcal B (MenB) vaccination programme
Meningococcal booster vaccination programme
Named accountable GP for all patients
PCV Hib / Meningococcal disease vaccination programme
Pertussis (pregnant women) vaccination programme
Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccination programme
Rotavirus (childhood routine immunisation) vaccination programme
Seasonal influenza vaccination programme 
Shingles (catch up) vaccination programme
Shingles (routine aged 70) vaccination programme

The GP Contract Services data are collected by NHS Digital via the Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS) and General Practice Extraction Service (GPES). The 2016-17 publications are designated as:

These data have undergone a series of data quality checks which are outlined in the Excel summary workbook.

Management information: all other GP contract services
These data have not undergone any quality checking nor has analysis of their coverage been made.

Data at GP practice level for each GP Contract Service publication are available in .csv files below. The zipped folder also contains a data dictionary and a geography mapping file. In addition to the .csv file for the INLIQ publication, an Excel workbook with summary statistics and results of the data quality checks performed is also published.
