Disability

Of the 2,872 shortlisted candidates, 5.5% had a declared disability, 91.9% did not have a declared disability and 2.6% did not disclose whether they had a disability. We also found that:
 

  • of appointments made, 4.2% had a declared disability and 73.1% did not have a declared disability - 16.3% of staff chose not to disclose their disability status, and 6.4% had an unknown disability status
     
  • 2.5% of employees who responded to the staff survey stated they had a disability, while 49% of staff who responded to the staff survey did not state if they had a disability or not
     
  • employees who declare a disability in the staff survey scored lowest in regards to having an acceptable workload
     
  • 50% of leavers had an unknown disability status and 11% of leavers chose not to disclose their disability status
