NHS Digital policies

This policy and its supporting procedures takes account of the Information Management Overarching Policy.


Exceptions

This policy is mandatory and applies to all NHS Digital managers, assignment manager, staff and all records and documents created and received in course of NHS Digital business transactions and activities.


Review

This policy following approval, will be subject to an annual review, initiated by the Records Management function calling on the roles identified in the Reviewers section of this Policy; this will take place in the month of January each year. The manager of the Records Management function will ensure the review and where necessary the re approval process is followed with
support from the Service Director, Information Governance Directorate.


Reporting

The manager of the Records Management function will report formally on the implementation of this policy and supporting procedures on a quarterly basis to the Director and Service Director of Information Governance, the Quality Council and the Information Management Operational Delivery Group.

The manager will also report informally on a regular basis to the manager of Operational Information Governance.
