Mandatory requests from Monitor

Section 255 of the Health and Social Care Act enables Monitor (NHS Improvement) to make a request to HSCIC (now known as NHS Digital) on matters concerning the provision of health services or adult social care.  NHS Improvement can request that NHS Digital puts in place systems to collect and analyse care. This is known as a mandatory request as NHS Digital must comply unless we consider the request relates to information that is prescribed in regulations. No such regulations have been made as yet.
