Sexual and Reproductive Health Activity Data Set (SRHAD) collection

The Sexual and Reproductive Health Activity Data set (SRHAD) came into effect on 1 April 2010. It consists of anonymised patient-level data submitted on an annual basis. SRHAD replaces the annual, aggregate KT31 return and provides a much richer source of contraceptive and sexual health data for a range of uses from commissioning to national reporting.

Background to the collection

The Sexual and Reproductive Health Activity Data set (SRHAD) came into effect on 1 April 2010. It consists of anonymised patient-level data submitted on an annual basis. SRHAD replaces the annual, aggregate KT31 return and provides a much richer source of contraceptive and sexual health data for a range of uses from commissioning to national reporting.

The SRHAD data collection has changed from quarterly to annual. The last quarterly return was Quarter 4 2014/15 (1 January 2015 to 31 March 2015).

Data will be collected using the Strategic Data Collection Service (SDCS) data submission system. Guidance documents are available to support the collation of data and to submit the data on SDCS.

The SRHAD data was collected on behalf of Public Health England and complements the GUMCAD2 data collection. The data is now collected on behalf of the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

Further information can be found on the OHID website.

How to see the data

The SRHAD data is used to populate an annual National Statistics report called Sexual and Reproductive Health Services
