Highlights
Data for the first quarter of 2016-17 are the thirteenth to be collected under the new NHS structural arrangements.
As at 30 June 2016:
- 59,905 patients were eligible for NHS CHC. This equates to 65.5 patients per 50,000 population aged 18 and over
- There has been a 0.9 per cent increase in the number of patients eligible at the end of the first quarter of 2016-17 compared with the end of the fourth quarter of 2015-16, and a 2.3 per cent decrease when compared with the first quarter in 2015-16.
- 25,286 patients were newly eligible for NHS CHC in quarter 1, equating to 27.6 patients per 50,000 population aged 18 and over
- The number of newly eligible patients decreased by 1.4 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2015-16 to the first quarter of 2016-17. There has been a 2.5 per cent increase in the number of newly eligible patients as compared with the first quarter of 2015-16.
