Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment - PLACE England 2016

Publication Date:
Date Range:
01 Feb 2016 to 10 Jun 2016

Summary

These are the results from the 2016 Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) programme. These self-assessments are undertaken by teams of NHS and private/independent health care providers, and include at least 50 per cent members of the public (known as patient assessors). They focus on the environment in which care is provided, as well as supporting non-clinical services such as cleanliness, food, hydration, the extent to which the provision of care with privacy and dignity is supported and whether the premises are equipped to meet the needs of people with dementia against a specified range of criteria. Note: On 18th August 2016 the Excel Data File, Organisation Scores report CSV file and the Excel Graphing tool were replaced as the organisational level scores extract from the Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) system were incorrect for some of the organisations. The column headings have also been amended in the Site Base Scores tables.
