Maternity and Children's Data Set - project closed

It was made up of three separate information standards for

• maternity services – collected in the Maternity Services Data Set (MSDS).
• children's and young people's health services (CYPHS). The data was initially collected in the CYPHS data set, which has been retired and replaced by the Community Services Data Set (CSDS).
• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) – collected in the Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS).

The Maternity and Children’s Data Sets (MCDS) was developed for all NHS commissioned Maternity, Children and Young People’s Health Services and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services as a key driver to achieving better outcomes of care for mothers, babies and children.
